Envision@Eastern (Envision) is designed to meet the needs of students who require a different schedule to ensure successful high school completion. We believe all Ramblers can succeed, and Envision creates another path to earning a high school diploma from Eastern. The program offers students who have fallen off track an opportunity to recoup lost credits and to pursue post-secondary opportunities through college and career training. Envision is the only option at Eastern for students who have been selected for the program.
Promoting a New Culture of Success
Envision is designed to give selected students a fresh start. The following are exciting features that promote a new culture of success for students in the Envision program:
- Adjusted school hours: 1:00pm-6:30pm Monday through Thursday; 1:00pm-3:15pm on Fridays
- Rigorous instruction
- Social and emotional supports
- Leadership development
- College and workplace connections
- Structured community service opportunities
Earn While You Learn
Developing workplace skills is critical in order to be successful in the 21st century economy. Therefore, we have prioritized workforce development as an important aspect of Envision. Committed students will be identified to participate in Envision’s leadership development program. If students are successful in the leadership development program, they may have the opportunity to participate in a paid internship during the second semester of the school year. We expect to work closely with families as students move into leadership roles.
