Panel: Black Lives Matter Week of Action with DeRay Mckesson

The Office of Equity in partnership with Empowering Men of Color (EMOC) invites DCPS students, faculty, staff and community members to attend, “Black Lives Matter Week of Action with DeRay Mckesson.” This event is open to the public, including non-DCPS students and staff. DeRay will speak with students during a panel discussion facilitated by Mr. Gary Hamilton, a DCPS teacher at Wheatley Education Campus. The event will take place in the Eastern High School auditorium.

The National Black Lives Matter Week of Action in Our Schools campaign takes place in cities across the U.S. The goal of the Black Lives Matter Week of Action in Schools is to spark an ongoing movement of critical reflection and honest conversations in school communities for people of all ages to engage with critical issues of social justice.
